Why do you want to serve on the ASCO Nominating Committee?

ASCO is the premier professional organization for all matters related to the care of patients with cancer. As a society, it sets the standard for comprehensive programming around provider and community education, research funding through Conquer Cancer, professional development, practice support, and advocacy towards policy creation that strives to ensure that all have the highest quality, equitable cancer care. For me, ASCO has been a constant presence through my training and development as an academic oncologist and I feel a particular engagement with the organization as my oncology home. If selected to serve on the Nominating Committee, I would be honored to dedicate my time and energy to leverage relationships and recruit expert talent in support of ASCO and its mission. I am committed to the success of our organization and believe that success is contingent upon the passion, advocacy, volunteerism, and enthusiastic engagement of our diverse and talented membership. If chosen to be a member of the Nominating Committee, I would strive to enable the success of ASCO through the identification and promotion of members that have the skills necessary to realize the Board’s strategic plan into ASCO leadership roles.
