ASCO established its global leadership program in the Asia Pacific Region in 2021 under the direction of the ASCO Asia Pacific Regional Council and Leadership Development Program Committee members.
The program combines virtual and in-person training sessions to help build leadership skills in managing teams, resolving conflict, coaching, communicating effectively with others, effectively presenting information, participating in and leading advocacy efforts, and more.

The application for the 2023-2024 Global Leadership – Asia Pacific is now closed, and applications for the 2025-2026 program will open in July 2024. If you have questions about the program or application process, please email our Professional Development team.
All applications must be submitted online and in accordance with the requirements and instructions in this Request for Applications.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the ASCO Global Leadership – Asia Pacific, applicants must
- Be an ASCO Member (or submit a membership application in conjunction with the application) from the Asia-Pacific Region (eligible countries listed below)
- Commit to participating in monthly virtual learning sessions, small group projects, and one in-person workshop.
- Meet English language fluency requirements NOTE: The Global Leadership – Asia Pacific program includes mandatory participation in the in-person workshop to be held at the ASCO Breakthrough meeting in Yokohama, Japan.
Travel expenses for participants will be provided.
