ASCO established its global leadership program in the Latin America Region in 2023 under the direction of the ASCO Latin America Regional Council and Leadership Development Program Committee members.
The program combines virtual and in-person training sessions to help build leadership skills in managing teams, resolving conflict, coaching, communicating effectively with others, effectively presenting information, participating in and leading advocacy efforts, and more.

The application for the 2024-2025 Leadership Development Program – Latin America program will open on October 15, 2023 and close December 11, 2023. If you have questions about the program or application process, please email our Professional Development team.
All applications must be submitted online in English and in accordance with the requirements and instructions in the Request for Applications.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the ASCO Global Leadership – Latin America, applicants must
- Be an ASCO member or submit a membership application at the time of the LDP application.
- Be a physician (MD, DO, or international equivalent) working in the Latin America Region (eligible country list below).
- Be in a position of responsibility and ability to influence others.
- Commit to participating in monthly virtual learning sessions, small group projects, and in-person workshops to be held at ASCO Headquarters in the United States.
- English language fluency required
Travel expenses for participants will be provided.
