Advocacy Agenda & Initiatives

three doctors in discussion

The Association for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) works to ensure that all people with cancer have access to high-quality, affordable cancer care, no matter who they are or where they live. ASCO advocates for policies that improve access to  cancer care and clinical trials, ensure the delivery system supports the delivery of high-quality, high-value cancer care, and support a robust research infrastructure. ASCO's Government Relations Committee establishes advocacy priorities on an annual basis and updates them as needed to reflect emerging issues.
