Recommendations for a Global Curriculum in Medical Oncology
The Recommendations for a Global Curriculum in Medical Oncology are a set of common guidelines with a global perspective for clinical training required for physicians to qualify as medical oncologists. The Global Curriculum was developed by ASCO and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) with the goal of defining standards in guiding the training of medical oncologists worldwide and ensuring that all patients have an equal chance of receiving treatment from well-trained physicians. The ESMO/ASCO Global Curriculum Working Group updates the Global Curriculum on a periodic basis as advances dictate. Past editions have been endorsed by 51 national oncology societies.
