The American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD) is made up of more than 500 voting delegates. The delegates include representatives from all 50 states, and from federal service organizations, national medical societies, and specialty groups.

ASCO sends appointed delegates to each HOD meeting with the goal of:

  • Ensuring that the needs of the oncology community are heard by colleagues from across the wider medical community
  • Learning about issues that are affecting those colleagues
  • Helping to shape a broad and influential advocacy platform

Email ASCO in Action for more information on ASCO's involvement with the AMA House of Delegates.
