ASCO mentoring initiatives aim to support ASCO members’ individual learning, growth, and professional development needs. ASCO offers a wide variety of mentoring, including long-term and situational mentoring for both international and domestic participants across multiple populations and career stages.

ASCO’s Virtual Mentoring Program (VMP) pairs members, both domestic and international, with a mentor outside of their institution to address unmet career development needs. The ASCO Diversity Mentoring Program (DMP) is designed to encourage U.S.-based medical students and residents who are underrepresented in medicine (UIM) to pursue rewarding careers in oncology.
