ASCO Practice Consulting Services & Support is expanding its offerings to include new clinical consulting services designed to help oncology practices standardize patient care, use their workforce efficiently, and transition patient care to a value-based care delivery model. The comprehensive, personalized practice support is delivered by an ASCO team of oncology consultants with nationally recognized expertise in practice management, value-based care, and clinical care delivery.

The new Clinical Care Delivery Services include:

• Clinical Care Delivery Assessment: Provides a practice review that uses a standardized tool to evaluate quality patient care, safety, and readiness for value-based care, including patient-centered services such as patient navigation, access to care, team-based care and continual improvement
• Nurse Training Support: Supports implementation of ASCO/Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Administration Safety Standards
• Advanced Practice Provider Program Development: Optimizes workforce, focusing on role of advanced practice providers
• Quality Recognition: Supports practices preparing for Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) Certification Program
• Value-based Care Delivery Model: Provides support for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Payment Programs, including the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other alternative payment models and payer quality initiatives.
   

These new services build on ASCO’s existing Operational Consulting Services, which include:

• Readiness assessment: Prepares practices for value-based care, new payment models, and success with satisfying new reporting requirements in the Quality Payment Program (QPP)
• Practice operational assessment: Provides a comprehensive practice review focused on process efficiency, staffing efficiency, and financial management
• Practice transformation implementation support: Supports a practice’s specific needs in the transformation from volume- to value-based care
• Analytical services: Supports business operations through practical data analytics (financial, clinical, operational)
• Triage pathways: Provides a decision support tool to help patients with cancer get the right care at the right time in the right place.
