Board of Directors – Designated Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Moore is associate director of clinical research, professor of gynecologic oncology, and director of the Oklahoma TSET Phase 1 Program at the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of ASCO’s Cancer Communications Committee, serves as a journal author and peer reviewer, and is a past member of the Annual Meeting Education Committee and Clinical Practice Committee.

Why do you want to serve on the Board of Directors?

I am delighted to indicate my great interest in the position of Designated Surgical Oncologist on ASCO’s Board of Directors. I have spent the past 15 years as a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Stephenson Cancer Center (SCC) at the University of Oklahoma. My career to date has focused on building and expanding the clinical trial infrastructure at SCC as well as helping other sites assess and expand their capabilities nationally through my leadership as Associate Director of GOG Partners and Chair of the Ovarian Cancer Subcommittee for NRG Oncology. I am passionate about mentorship and career development and invest a significant amount of time serving as a mentor and coach to budding trialists nationally across several programs. I have looked to ASCO my entire career for the roadmap of what I/we hope to achieve in Oklahoma for all patients served by our cancer center and nationally/internationally for people with gynecologic cancers. The ASCO strategic pillars of research, education, and quality are guiding principles for me in team building and maintaining mission focus. The opportunity to participate at the Board level with other ASCO leaders on strengthening and expanding the reach of these pillars would be a great honor. As a surgeon, drug developer, and hospice and palliative care provider, I would bring a unique viewpoint.
